McNair Construction Company was founded by Grover McNair in 1955. A graduate of North Carolina State University with a degree in architectural engineering and a charter member of the Winston-Salem Home Builders Association, Grover worked for the architect that designed Wake Forest University’s original Winston-Salem campus buildings and many other landmarks in the Winston-Salem area before starting McNair Construction.

Six decades later, Grover’s trademark of delivering high quality, highly detailed work on time and on budget remains a driving force behind

McNair Construction. His work ethic extends to the current principals at McNair Construction who have tremendous pride and a personal interest in every construction job undertaken by the firm.

McNair Construction’s highly skilled, meticulous approach to its work results in client satisfaction, many of whom have returned to the firm time and time again. Some clients have commented, “The pride in your work makes you act like my property is your property.” McNair Construction completes every job with care, skill and budgetary considerations as if the properties were their own.
